Is history a mystery? Yes history is indeed mystery for those who don’t know about the history. History is very interesting subject but unfortunately only few of us read history. In a wider sense reading history is essential for every human being. As everyone knows about his/her family i.e., his father and mother and ethnicity, so everyone should know about the history of human; that is from where we have come and how we have been able to make tremendous success and development over a period of centuries.
These quilts and the way they are made, made me wonder about the past, the present and the future. After 100 years from now maybe new quilts will be made but with different routes, different maps and different stories, but the only fact that will stay there is that our past made our present and our present will make our future, but who will tell the story at that time and how!
After all students have presented, I had students help me post pictures correctly on the time line. (You can also post their report under their photo for additional information.) To help students have fun learning a specific area, I would give a trivia question (for extra credit or points towards a class reward) describing a place where I would be traveling.
